Thanksgiving Trip to Branson

We made new memories this year by going to Branson with my family over Thanksgiving. It was so cold and fun!! I loved it!

The first night we went to Branson Landing and watched the water show. They play music and water and fire shoot up with the beat of the songs. The boys loved it so much!

I love this family picture. If Todd hadn't been wearing earmuffs and looking like he has no ears, it would have been our Christmas card. ;)

For Thanksgiving day, we sat around enjoying the parade while mom cooked dinner. We all gathered around the little table in the condo and ate our Thanksgiving feast. And what a feast it was....home made everything! We had turkey (of course), dressing, mashed potatoes, shrimp salad, cranberry sauce, chocolate and pecan pie. Yummo!  That night we ventured out again to the Branson Landing to watch the water. They boys were begging to go back. Then we went to see some lights

Then we drove through the Holiday Trail of Lights and saw some beautiful light displays. Poppa kept us laughing with all of his crazy comments. Good thing because it took us an hour to get through it all.

After Thanksgiving, it was time to hit Silver Dollar City. These two nuts got us everywhere we needed to go! It was so crowded that we had to park way off and be bused in to the theme park. Of course, the boys thought the bus was the best! 

We rode lots of rides. Ben was a little hesitant on some of them, but Luke was ALL about them. Since Todd and I hadn't been since college, we forgot what the "Fire in the Hole" was all about so we took the boys. They may be traumatized for life! Ben cried all the way through it. Bless his heart. Who knew there were such creepy figures all through out it. 

Although he looks terrified, he loved every part of it!!

We saw the show "Frosty the Snowman"

The kids got to go on stage at the end. Of course, Luke decided to put on a show. He was dancing and being a silly billy. Sweet boy.

It was a great trip. We almost froze to death at Silver Dollar City, but it was so beautiful with all of the lights and decorations. I loved every minute of it. 

On our way home, we picked up our sweet girl who had been staying with a friend. I think she grew a foot while we were gone.

Overall, we had a wonderful family trip!
