Well, I guess this is a much more positive post than what I wrote last week.
The weather is changing, the leaves are changing, and fall has finally arrived.
Benjamin turned seven months last Sunday, and he's changing in front of our eyes. This weekend is his dedication at church. He has a new outfit with scarecrows for the event.
Tonight is Tiger Tunes at Ouachita. This will be the first time we've been back since the fall of 2002. We're looking forward to seeing the campus, being back in Arkadelphia for a few hours, and watching the show.
Tomorrow will be a huge day. We have our pumpkins arriving on campus at work, and will be selling them from Monday until Halloween.
We have some friends who work for Family Life and send out a monthly newsletter, usually with a top ten list of things to do that month. Here's a list of our favorite things to do this fall...maybe you can try out one or more of them and enjoy this beautiful time of year.
1. Throw some rotel in the crock pot and watch a Razorback game
2. Go for pancakes at Satellite Cafe
3. Rake/mulch the yard (sorry, I just love the look of our yard with no leaves)
4. Plant mums and place a few pumpkins on your front steps
5. Walk to Starbucks (if you don't live near one, drive to a neighborhood with a Starbucks, park a mile away, and walk there and back)
6. Watch You've Got Mail. The movie goes from fall to spring, but it's a favorite of ours in the autumn
7. Drive across the River Bridge from Maumelle to Little Rock at least once a week to notice the changing trees
8. Open your windows
9. Make pumpkin bread (email us if you need the recipe...it's perfect)
10. Dress Benjamin in cords, plaids, and his denim jacket and watch people in public make a B-Line for him
Happy Fall, Y'all!
