6 Month Pics

Since he's seven months today, I thought I would finally post his six month pics. We'll post 7 month pics later along with a few stats.

Wait...I'm HOW OLD???

He's our happy little monkey...and we can't imagine life without his constant smile and sweet, sweet spirit.

Hooked

Ben has wanted to go fishing for quite some time. And I'll admit, it's not exactly my cup of Starbucks. But - I'll do it if he wants to.

I took off a couple of weeks ago (which was quite hilarious since I worked every day of my week off - but that's another post) and we just hung out around the house, and then went to my parents' to celebrate my mother's birthday.

One day we decided to drive up to Pettit Jean. I've never been, and I knew there were a couple of places to fish off the dock. I was really hoping he would catch something, but his stomping and enthusiastic screams just did not attract the fish like one would expect.

My parents had given him some cash while they were down for Luke's 6 month party, so we took that and bought a Lightening McQueen fishing pole. He was so excited.

Some of you readers may not have ever met me - but I go non stop from the time my feet hit the floor. To stand, sit, lean - anything still and wait on something to bite...well, let's just say I'll never be a deer hunter or bass fisherman. It's sort of why I don't play golf. Someone is always ahead of me and I'm always having to wait.

You know that scene early in "You've Got Mail" where Patricia is screaming GO GO GO at the Espresso machine? That's me on most days.

HOWEVER...this little guy was ALL about sitting and smiling and relaxing.

After we failed miserably at our fishing attempt, we headed over to a playground, then drove up to one of the lookouts. This was a huge hit.

Ben was convinced we needed to climb down a little ways - so the two of us braved the cliff below. He was also convinced he saw at least three bears. Mom, please reassure Dad that I never let go of Ben the entire time.

Luke again was happy just to watch.

And I can't even talk about this last picture...

If you know us well, you've probably heard us talk about a recent comment someone made directly to one of us concerning the unattractiveness of red-headed boys.

Yeah. He's a real mutt.
