Random Acts

Friday afternoon I was sitting at my secretary's desk trying to print a form off her computer. Someone in the office was standing at the desk as well and said, "Oh, this has your name on it."

The day's mail was sitting on the desk and had yet to be sorted.

I picked up the envelope, walked out, and started opening it sort of half paying attention. The return address was Georgia, and a name I didn't recognize. I first just assumed it was someone from a search committee at a church. It happens periodically, churches will just send you a questionnaire or a church profile and see if you're interested in relocating.

Anyway - I digress.

Inside was a handwritten note from Ashley, a blog follower that we have never met and did not even know of, and these great gifts:

A gift card for a date night to Olive Garden,

AND

A gift card to Pottery Barn Kids

We have friends who have this happen to them all of the time, but it was a first for us. What a great surprise! She wrote the nicest note complimenting our sweet boys, and congratulating us on Luke's arrival.

I hope someday Jenny and I are at a place where we can just do random, thoughtful acts for others.

So, thank you so much Ashley, for thinking of us. We'll be sure to post pics as we use the gift cards.
